Autumn/Winter 2024 Hair Trends from HARI’s experts as seen in Harper’s Bazaar

As the seasons change, it's time to shake up your hair routine and embrace the trends that will define Autumn/Winter 2024. Recently, HARI’s expert stylists and colourists had the pleasure of speaking with Harper’s Bazaar about the hottest hair trends you’ll be seeing everywhere this season. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store and how we can help you achieve the look that’s perfect for you.

The Trend: Effortless Waves

Striking a balance between last summer’s flawless Barbie-inspired blowouts and this year’s relaxed 1970s ‘Woodstock waves,’ expect to see casual curls with a touch of sophistication.

“Next season will continue with a retro vibe but with a more refined finish. For your next blowdry, request roller or pin curls, then brush them out and apply a high-shine finishing spray. To achieve this look at home, try using Dyson’s Airwrap or Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers.” – Jake, HARI’s South Kensington

The Trend: Renaissance Reds

For a more refined feel for winter compared to summer’s cherry cola trend.

“Add lighter and darker tones of coppers throughout to represent a sunset-like feel and get creative with different warm palettes by adding gold, red and blending throughout. This can be achieved by applying one colour at the roots and a different colour from root to tip. You can use a glossing service to intensify it, too.” – Fran, HARI’s South Kensington

The Trend: Milky Blonde

Refresh your sun-kissed blonde with a creamier shade for the colder months- imagine snowy hues that even Elsa from Frozen would envy. If that feels too bold, opt for a buttery undertone to add warmth to your complexion.

“Incorporate more lowlights for subtle texture and a brighter halo around the hairline to keep the colour from looking flat.” – Mel, HARI’s South Kensington

The Trend: Fringe Benefits

If you’ve been considering a fringe, there’s plenty of inspiration to help you take the leap. For those with curly hair, “adding bangs can create a fresh and modern look. Protect your curls by sleeping in a silk bonnet or on a silk pillowcase. Also, use a diffuser attachment when blow-drying to keep curls intact and reduce frizz, or opting for air-drying to maintain the natural curl pattern.” – Kirsten, HARI’s Notting Hill.
